Guidance for Parents

& Professionals

When a child is turning away from a parent—and nothing seems to help—you may be dealing with parental alienation.

Parental alienation requires a different way of understanding — and responding

As a Parent you may be:

* Losing contact with your child, or are already cut off

* Watching your child reject you in ways that feel sudden, extreme, unwarranted

* Trying to stay calm—but saying or doing the wrong thing anyway

* Getting advice that doesn’t seem to apply to your situation

And the most painful part:

* the harder you seem to try, the worse it gets.

As a Professional you may be:

* Working with a parent who is highly distressed or reactive

* Watching them struggle to follow guidance or stay on strategy

* Seeing them unintentionally undermine their own case

* Managing conflict that continues to escalate despite your efforts

And the most difficult part:

* the case is not moving forward in a meaningful way.

A different way of understanding — and responding — to parental alienation can change the direction of a case.

Jacqueline Rourke

Parental Alienation expert, journalist and former alienated parent

I know what it feels like to be alienated from your children. To worry about them day and night. To feel complete despair.

And I know what it took me to get out of that place and fully reconnect.

My role is to help parents regain a sense of stability and clarity in a situation that feels overwhelming and impossible to navigate.

This includes helping parents:

* stay grounded in moments that would normally overwhelm them

* communicate in ways that don't escalate the situation

* understand what is actually happening—and what is not

*avoid common mistakes that can make things worse

For professionals, working with a parent who is more focused, more consistent, and better able to follow guidance makes the case more manageable overall.

Based in Quebec, working with parents and professionals across Canada and internationally.

I offer consultation and online courses for parents dealing with parental alienation, and guidance for professionals managing these cases.

If you are a parent:

- and nothing you are doing seems to be working

- and your child is slipping further away

- and you feel like you are getting it wrong no matter what you try

Or

If you are a professional:

- working on a case that is not progressing

- managing a parent who is overwhelmed or reactive

- and looking for a more effective way to approach it

If you are dealing with parental alienation, I would be glad to speak with you.

NEXT STEP:

Book a consultation to discuss your situation and whether this approach is a fit.

Coaching FAQ's

What should I do if my child is rejecting me?

If you are dealing with parental alienation, the way you respond matters. Many common reactions can make the situation worse. The first step is to understand what is happening and adjust how you communicate and respond. We can discuss your situation and approach.

How long are coaching sessions?

Coaching sessions are either 30 or 60 minutes long.

They can be purchased one at a time, or 2 sessions per month for a discounted rate.

For a deeper discount, 6 sessions can be purchased in a bundle for a 20% discount.

Are there discounts for purchasing multiple sessions?

Yes. The monthly recurring subscription (2 sessions per month) offers a 14% discount.

Or, the bundle of 6 sessions, offers a 20% discount off the individual rate.

What can I expect during a session?

To make the most of our time together, I will send a worksheet before our session so you can determine your current needs and goals and to assess how best we can work together.

During our session, there will be plenty of time to share your current situation and to have some feedback on strategies and/or next steps. Virtually all parents I have coached really appreciate being fully understood by someone who has been in their shoes.

What is the difference between coaching & a consultation?

We request a 15-minute consultation with each person wanting to purchase any of our courses.
A consult helps prospective clients choose which of our courses or products may be right for them.

Consults are different from coaching because they do not provide guidance on your current goals, needs or challenges.

Consults also help assess the needs of clients interested in joining Navigating Parental Alienation, but are not sure of where to start.

For how long can I use a bundle of 6?

You have 6 months to book 6 appointments.

You have control over when you schedule your 6 appointments. They can all be used up during the same week or spread out over 6 months, it is up to you.

If you pay for (6) 30-minute sessions, then you will schedule appointments for 30-minute time slots.

If you pay for (6) 60-minute sessions, then you will schedule appointments for 60-minute time slots.

What happens after I book a session?

You will be sent a detailed email with a Zoom link and password.

You will also receive a short worksheet to help you prepare for our session. It will help you identify your questions for me, and set your intention for our time together.
